At Merqalix S.R.L. ("Merqalix", "we") we respect your privacy and protect the personal data you share with our online platform available at merqalix.com. This Policy describes what data we collect, for what purpose and what your rights are under Law 172-13 on Personal Data Protection of the Dominican Republic.

2. Data we collect

We collect data you voluntarily provide (name and email when you subscribe to the newsletter) and technical data generated by your navigation (IP address, device type, pages visited, referral source). We do not request sensitive data.

3. Purposes

We use your data to: send you information about real estate crowdlending projects and news; respond to enquiries; measure site performance; and comply with applicable legal obligations in the Dominican Republic.

4. Legal basis

We process your data based on your consent (Law 172-13, art. 6) and Merqalix's legitimate interests, provided they do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

5. Retention

We keep contact data for as long as there is an active relationship with the subscriber or until you exercise your right to erasure. Technical data is kept for a maximum of 24 months.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share it with technology providers (hosting, email delivery, web analytics) who act under contract and strict confidentiality obligations. For international transfers, we apply appropriate safeguards.

7. Data subject rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, update, objection and erasure by writing to privacidad@merqalix.com. You can also file claims with the competent data protection authority in the Dominican Republic.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or improper alteration.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will always publish the current version on this page, indicating the last updated date.
